Our History. The Nidy Company was founded in 1924. Through the leadership of Robert Nidy and son, Lynn Nidy, the family owned business thrived in difficult economic times by developing the game of shuffleboard and building most of the courts in the Southeastern part of the United States.
Founded in integrity and sustainability, Nidy is a trusted name in sports construction.
Our Commitment. Having acquired the Nidy Company in 2007 and aspiring to excellence we will continue to operate the Nidy Sports Construction Company with the same integrity and commitment that the company’s long, rich history is noted for. The bottom line of our company is loyalty to our customers.
Our Process. Though not considered to be a low-end contractor, we bring value to every project with a reputation for competence, communication and innovation. We are a licensed general contractor in the state of Florida. We not only bring technical expertise to each project, but we bring the creativity and ingenuity, developed through decades of attention to detail, that makes the complex simple.
Nidy Sports Construction Company is a full service design-build company. We are equally competent in new construction and renovation projects for the creation of and/or restoration of tennis courts, running tracks, basketball courts, pickle ball courts, volleyball courts, bocce ball courts, horseshoe throwing pits, shuffleboard courts, and installation of shade structures. We are authorized applicators for Plexipave®, Plexitrac® and DecoTurf®, the world’s leading suppliers of the sports surfacing systems demanded by the professionals. We are the sole applicator of the Nico® Shuffleboard Playing Surface. Completing our service to you we provide shuffleboard equipment catalog sales.
